ISLA NEGRA was established in 1993 by Concha y Toro, the world's second-largest and Chile's largest wine group. Currently, it operates independently of Concha y Toro Winery and is part of Cono Sur, Chile's second-largest wine export company by volume.
The name ISLA NEGRA translates to "Black Island." The winery is located in the coastal city of San Antonio in Chile's Fifth Region. It embodies the romantic passion and artistic spirit of Chile's renowned poet, Pablo Neruda. Because of this, it is known as the "Star of Chile" and the "Dreams of the Bay." The wines produced are rich in aroma, perfectly balanced, and deeply captivating.
